Alma Lee Melson Hopper, 85, of Savannah, died Saturday, Aug. 23.
She was born in Waynesboro, the daughter of the late Dewey Hopson and Lula Lee Shubert Melson.
Alma Lee had worked for Angelica for 30 years and for Shell Street Button Factory. She was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sons, Billy Hopper and Steve Hopper, both of Savannah; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Evelyn Chaulk of Crump, Lula Mae Ray of Millington, Tenn., Tommy Jack Melson of Savannah, Milton Lee Melson of Clifton and Linda Gail Kious of Jonesboro, Ark.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Harold Hopper; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Ledford Melson and Benton Edward Melson.   
Services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Souls Harbor Church in Savannah with Linn Johnson and Terry Latimer officiating. Burial followed in the Graham Cemetery at Savannah.
