Angela Yancey (9-27-10) services 9-29-10

Angela Denise Yancey, 53, of Bethel Springs, died Monday, Sept. 27, in Nashville.

She was born in Memphis, the daughter of Leo Ralph and Marjorie Kay Henson Gage. She was united in marriage to Wes Yancey, who survives.

Mrs. Yancey had formerly worked for Brown Shoe Company and Home Banking Company, both in Selmer. She retired as a production technician for General Electric, also in Selmer. She was a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.

Services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 29, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer with Mike Holloway officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery at Bethel Springs.

In addition to her husband Wes Yancey of Bethel Springs, she is survived by a son, Shaun Mullins of Bethel Springs; a step-son, Jamie Yancey of Selmer; a step-daughter, Mary Logan Yancey of Selmer; her parents, Ralph and Kay Gage of Bethel Springs; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Gage of Vermilion, Ohio, and Andrea Schmedes of Cordova, Tenn.; a brother, Jeff Gage of Columbus, Ohio.
