Ann Turner, 89, of Columbus, Mississippi, formerly of Savannah, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 14, the daughter of the late William Dayton Harrison and Harriet Lois Hanna Harrison.
She was a dedicated member of First United Methodist Church, where she served as a member of the chancel choir and was the church treasurer. She was also a member of the Tennessee Business & Professional Women’s organization. She worked in accounting at the Metropolitan Nashville Health Department and retired as a secretary at PCA in Counce.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Ellen Turner Martin; three grandchildren; and five great-granddaughters.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Billy Enlow Turner; son, William Michael Turner; grandson, William Michael Turner Jr.; great-grandson, William Hunter Allgood; sister, Nell Riley; and brother, William Dayton Harrison, Jr.
Memorial services were held on Sunday, Nov. 19, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Jerry Mitchell officiating. Burial followed at Savannah Cemetery in Savannah.
