Barry Hodge, 57, of Adamsville, died Friday, Jan. 4, in Jackson, Tenn.

He was born in Bolivar, Tenn., the son of Philip Elijah Hodge and Emma Inez Glover Hill. He was united in marriage to Nancy Karen Caperton, who survives.

Mr. Hodge was a self-employed plumber. He also worked for Adamsville Fire Department where he was the assistant fire chief. He had worked at the fire department since 1977, and had worked for the Adamsville Rescue Squad since 1979. He also had worked at Duren Supply. He was a member of Adamsville First Baptist Church.

Services were held on Monday, Jan. 7, at First Baptist Church in Adamsville with Phil Mitchell and Frank Kemper officiating. Burial followed in the Adamsville Cemetery.

In addition to his wife, Nancy of Adamsville, he is survived by one daughter, Catherine Morris of Adamsville; his father, Philip Elijah Hodge and his wife Jean of Hornsby, Tenn.; his mother, Emma Inez Glover Hill of Pinson, Tenn.; one grandchild; two sisters, Pam Pennington of Adamsville and Deborah Hodge of Hornsby, Tenn.
