Mrs. Bettye Valentine Eaton, 90, of Nashville, passed away on Friday, Aug. 15.
Bettye was born in Bethpage, Tenn., but moved to Savannah where she was a home economics teacher for 38 years with the Hardin County Board of Education. 
Bettye became an active member of the community and an active member of Graham Chapel C.M.E. Church.  She was also employed with Walmart in Savannah before relocating back to Nashville.
Bettye leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Valerie Stewart Mouton and Vanessa Stewart Sevier; son-in-law, Graylon Sevier; grandson, Curtis Webster Jr. and wife Dr. Allison Webster; two great-granddaughters, Sarai and Hannah Webster; sisters, Sally Anderson and Dorothy Black; brothers, Leonard Valentine and John Valentine; brother-in-law, Reece Black; sister-in-law, Joyce Valentine; special niece, Vesta Whittaker; stepdaughters, Vivian (Thomas) Ray and Theresa (Landon) Wilkes; stepson, Arthur Eaton Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, cousins, former students and friends. 
The family visitation and memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23, at New Generations Funeral Home in Antioch, Tenn. 
God has enabled Bettye to touch so many lives as she has walked this earthly journey.  She will truly be missed but will live in our hearts forever.
