Bill Brown

Billy Lee "Bill" Brown was born in Marvell, Ark., on June 4, 1938, the son of the late Hersey Lee and Vela Lee Shackelford Brown.

In November of 1959 he was united in marriage to Henrietta Wells, who survives.

Mr. Brown served his country in the United States Navy. He was a Baptist minister for 51 years, serving churches in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee.

Mr. Brown departed this life on March 30 in Adamsville at the age of 74 years, 9 months and 26 days.

In addition to his wife, Henrietta of Adamsville, he is survived by his children, Jeff Brown of Memphis, Barry Brown and his wife Shana of Port Lavaca, Texas, Karen Quarles and her husband Ricky of Jackson, Tenn., and Steve Brown and his wife Heather of Henderson, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; three brothers, Bobby Brown of West Helena, Ark., David Brown of Olive Branch, Miss., and Ronnie Brown of Marion, Ark.; two sisters, Betty Kay Crader of Munford, Tenn., and Suzanne White of McGehee, Ark.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was also preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Moneymaker and two brothers, Larry and James Brown.

Services was held on Wednesday, April 3, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Adamsville with Jetta Forsythe officiating. Burial followed in the Corinth National Cemetery at Corinth, Miss.
