Billy B. Kerr, 92, of Savannah, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 1. He was born on Nov. 5, 1931, in Savannah, Tennessee, the son of the late Norman Patterson and Clara Minnie McLean Kerr.
On Aug. 2, 1953, he was united in marriage to Jane Love Kerr, who survives.
Billy owned and operated a John Deer Dealership in Savannah, Tennessee. He was a member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church where he was Senior Deacon. Billy graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He enjoyed farming and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Jane Kerr; daughters, Tammy Johnson (Phil) of Langston, Alabama, Sheree’ Smith (Tim) of Crockett, Texas, Cynthia Hosea (Rodney) of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Christopher Kerr of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Sue Hopper of Lakeland, Florida; grandchildren, Wes Standfield, Kody Smith, Ethan Hosea, Kameron Kerr, Adrienne Hosea, Kyle Earnest, Hannah Earnest, and Logan Kerr; and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Cooper, Elizabeth Smith, Latisha Bain and Geneva Felker; brother, Bobby Kerr; and grandchild, Whitney Wilkerson.

Memorial services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Mount Hermon Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee, with Artie Rivers and Tim Smith officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Hermon Cemetery in Savannah.
