Billy Easley

Billy C. Easley was born on Aug. 23, 1944, in Hardin County, to Edwin Louie and Hester Pearl Allison Easley, who preceded him in death.

Billy worked in auto body repair for several years and previously worked as a truck driver as well as a vehicle escort.

He was a member of New Creation Church in Savannah. He made several mission trips to Haiti and Mexico over the years. He also worked with prison ministries. He helped recovering drug addicts, and would help anyone who was in need.

Billy departed this life on Saturday, Oct. 6, at the age of 68 years, 1 month, and 13 days.

He is survived by Jo Ann Hollingsworth Easley, his wife of 35 years; one daughter, LaDawna Seymour of Woodbine, Ga.; one son, John Hollingsworth of Adamsville; three brothers, Doyle Easley, Scottie Easley and Leon Easley, all of Savannah; one sister, Barbara Brown of Savannah, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death, besides his parents, were three sisters, Ruth Cook, Edwina Lewis, Nita Ferrell; and two brothers, Louie and Ronnie Easley.

Services were held on Monday, Oct. 8, at 1 p.m., at New Creation Ministries in Savannah with Steve Nielsen officiating. Burial followed in the Graham Cemetery at Savannah.
