Billy Hardy Billy Wayne Hardy, 68, of Savannah, died Monday, Jan. 10, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tenn. He was born in Tyronza, Ark., the son of the late James Alvin and Myrtle Billie Hollins Hardy. Mr. Hardy was a towboat pilot for Alter Company. Services were held on Friday, Jan. 14, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jim Chamblee officiating. Burial was in the Hollands Creek Cemetery at Hardin County. He is survived by one son, Travis Lee Hardy of Savannah; three grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Maria Doyle of Savannah; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Dale Hardy; one sister, Peggy Jean Hardy.
