Billy Joe King, 54, of Morris Chapel, died on Thursday, Dec. 19, in Savannah. He was born in Selmer, son of the late Alva Everett and Alline Leatherwood King. He was united in marriage to Tina Baggett, who survives.

Mr. King was a truck driver. He was Baptist in faith.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia McCullar of Bethel Springs; a son, Joseph Alva King of Savannah; three brothers, Elverett and Charlie King both of Selmer; Johnny King of Tupelo, Miss.; a sister, Marilyn Battles of Selmer and six grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Jerry Lee, Eugene, Monty Earl and Steve King; and a sister, Mary Huggins.

Services were held on Sunday, Dec. 21 in Selmer with Aaron Moss officiating. Burial followed at White Oak Cemetery in Ramer.
