Billy Mitchell Billy L. Mitchell, 54, of Savannah, died Friday, Sept. 3, in Jackson, Tenn. He was born in Hardin County, the son of Billy Joe Mitchell and the late Janie Geneva Gray Sargent. Mr. Mitchell installed swimming pools for Joe Thrasher Pools and worked for Parris Manufacturing Company. Services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 8, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Eric Isbell officiating. Burial was in the Savannah Cemetery. He is survived by a son, Dustin Lynn Mitchell of Savannah; his father, Billy Joe Mitchell; a brother, Timothy Shane Mitchell of Savannah; three sisters, Kimberly Harville of Jacks Creek, Tenn., Amanda Scott of Savannah, Peggy Mitchell of Savannah; and a stepmother, Tonaleah Mitchell of Savannah. He was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Lynn Mitchell, Jr.
