Bobby Burgess (7-7-10) services 7-10-10

Bobby Burgess, 71, of Savannah, died Wednesday, July 7.

He was born in Houlka, Miss., the son of the late Ray Augusta and Elsie Ann Cornelia Nolan Burgess.

He was united in marriage to June Sandusky, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Burgess was a warehouse manager for Murray Guard and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriner’s. He was also a member of the First Assembly of God Church and the Seventh-day Adventist Church both in Savannah.

Services were held on Saturday, July 10, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jerry Milliken officiating. Burial was in the Lutts Cemetery at Lutts, Tenn.

He is survived by three brothers, Don Burgess of Scottsboro, Ala., Dwight and Jerry Burgess both of Memphis; a sister, Judy Milam of Memphis.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Burgess.
