Bonnie Faye McGee Cox, 72, of Lutts, died Wednesday, June 19, at the Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Ala.
She was born in Lutts, the daughter of the late Ellie Mack and Cora Hattie Hinton McGee. She was united in marriage to Charles Lewis Cox, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Cox was a member of the Johnson’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.Â
Services were held on Friday, June 21, at Second Creek Church Of Christ in Savannah with Harville Gray, Jimmy McGee officiating. Burial followed in the Centenary Cemetery at Wayne County.
She is survived by one daughter, Rose Holt of Lutts; and two sons, Chester Cox of Lutts and Wayford Cox of Leighton, Ala.; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two brothers, Jimmy McGee of Savannah and James McGee of Cypress Inn, Tenn.; and one sister, Betty Johnson of Lutts.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie and Freddie McGee; and one grandchild.
