William “Buddy” Gladish, 72, of Morris Chapel, died Saturday, Nov. 22, at his home in Morris Chapel.
He was the son of the late Elbridge Troy and Elma Ann Burns Gladish. He was united in marriage to Sandy Diane Chilcutt, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Gladish served his country in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967. He was also in the Air Force Reserves until 1969. After his service, he was employed by Averitt Express as a truck driver for a total of 40 years. He was also a member of the Tennessee Sheriff Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his stepchildren, Johnathan Rosson of Savannah and Misty Bendall of Erin, Tennessee; one sister, Kay Jernigan of Corinth, Mississippi; three brothers, Charlie Gladish of Finger, Robert Gladish of Bethel Springs and Norman Gladish of Munford, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two children, his son, Charlie Gladish and his stepson Clay Rosson; one brother, Neal Gladish; and one grandchild.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Mt. Vinson Cemetery in Stantonville with Tony Polk officiating.
