Carole Vaughn Carole Songer Vaughn, 63, of Savannah, formerly of Iuka, Miss., died Monday, July 4. She was born in Paducah, Ky., the daughter of the late Howard Alton and Marjorie Mable Hughes Songer. Ms. Vaughn had live in Savannah and moved to Iuka, Miss. in 1979. She worked in community service at the Tishomingo County Court House. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Iuka, Miss. Services were held on Thursday, July 7, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Kevin Merritt officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Marie Vaughn of Iuka, Miss.; and her brother, Howard Stanley Songer of Auburn, Ala.
