Charles "Pop" Brooks, 92, of Savannah, died on Saturday, Jan. 5, in Savannah.

He was born in Glenville, Ga., son of the late Charles and Mary Smith Brooks. He was united in marriage to Juanita Mincey, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Brooks retired from Atlantic Coastline Railroad and he was also was a farmer. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 4 p.m., at the Savannah Seventh-day Adventist Church with Bob Wint officiating.

He is survived by his children, Charles Brooks Jr., Sylvia Brooks, Gary Brooks, Judy Edwards and Elaine Brown, all of Savannah, and Bonnie Cross of Colonial Beach, Va.; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Odel Lynn, Cola Lynn and Bud Lynn Brooks and two sisters, Myrtis Lynn Brooks and Claudine Brooks.
