Chessie H. Byram, 88, of Savannah, died on Monday, July 22, at Hardin Medical Center.Â
She was born in Savannah, Â the daughter of the late Charles F. and Chester Barry Sandlin Hamilton. She was united in marriage to Hoover D. Byram who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Byram was a homemaker and a member of East End United Methodist Church.
Graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 24, at 11 a.m. at Memory Gardens in Savannah with Shelton Neill officiating.Â
She is survived by three daughters, Kathy Maxwell of Middleton, Tenn., Jenny Campbell and Julie Neill, both of Savannah; one son, Phillip Byram of Savannah; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Grady Hamilton and Robert Lewis Hamilton; and sister Ella Sue Thompson.
