Dale Bowling (12-2-10) services 12-5-10

Dale Bowling, 61, of Savannah, died Thursday, Dec. 2, in Savannah.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Roger Dudley and Lillian Northcutt Bowling. He was united in marriage to Shirley Pickens, who survives.

Mr. Bowling was a boat captain for Muscle Shoals Marine and had previously worked for Conti Carriers, Agri Trans Towing Co. and Alter Towing Co. He was Baptist in belief. He was a member of the American Legion and Woodmen of the World.

Services were held on Sunday, Dec. 5, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Gerald Caperton officiating. Burial was in the New Harmony Cemetery at Hardin County.

In addition to his wife Shirley of Savannah, he is survived by three sons, Byron Dale, James Chadwyck and Nicholas Jack Bowling, all of Savannah; four grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Bowling.
