Danny Williams (4-4-12) service 4-6-12

Danny Parker "Wheatie" Williams was born on Dec. 23, 1949, in Savannah, the son of Chrystell Parkers Williams and the late Granville Williams. On July 11, 1978, he was united in marriage to Connie Marie Fielder, who survives.

Mr. Williams was owner and operator of Williams Timber. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge 102.

Mr. Williams departed this life on Wednesday, April 4, in Collierville, Tenn., at the age of 62 years, 3 months and 12 days.

In addition to his wife, Connie of Savannah, he is survived by three sons, Grant Williams, Vance McClain and Larry McClain Jr., all of Savannah; three grandchildren, Sophie Williams, Dylan McClain and Laura McClain; his mother, Chrystell Williams of Savannah; two sisters, Jane Riddell of Savannah and Jean Hissong of Bartlett, Tenn.

Services were held on Friday, April 6, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Derek Westmoreland, Randy Isbell officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
