Debra Newcomb Karr was born in St. Louis, Mo., Oct. 5, 1963, the daughter of the late Raymond Olaen Owens and Virginia Ann Edwards Bridges.

Mrs. Karr worked for Wal-Mart as a cashier and had worked for Golden Manufacturing for 10 years. She was a member of South Shiloh Full Gospel Church, where she enjoyed doing anything with the church. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.

She departed this life Thursday, Dec. 26, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Miss., at the age of 50 years, 2 months
and 21 days.

She is survived by her children, James Newcomb and his wife Debbie of Adamsville, Sally Day and her husband Chris of Dennis, Miss., Brenda Pounders and Daniel Newcomb and his wife Hope all of Golden, Miss.; eight grandchildren, Brittany Newcomb, Katelyn Newcomb, Hannah Pounders, Bailee Ozbirn, Gracee Ozbirn, Ella Newcomb, Christopher Elder and Riley Ramey; a step- grandchild, Holley Day; a sister, Anita Hager of Hamilton, Ala.; three brothers, Jessie Owens and Clifford Owens, both of Hamilton, Ala. and Dewayne Evans of Tupelo, Miss. and her former husband, Butch Newcomb of Burnsville, Miss.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Braxton Newcomb, an infant sister, Brenda Lynn Owens, grandmother, Bertha Kennedy, father-in-law, Shorty Newcomb and her mother-in-law, Elaine Newcomb.

Services were held Wednesday, Jan.1, at South Shiloh Full Gospel Church in Hardin County with Tony Darcott officiating. Burial followed at Cromwell South Shiloh Cemetery in Hardin County.
