Don Maxedon (11-25-18) service 12-1-18

Don M. “Papooh” Maxedon, 77, of Savannah, died Sunday, Nov. 25.

He was born in McNairy County.

Mr. Maxedon served in the Air Force for four years, then returned to McNairy County to work in business with his brother. He later went to work for the State of Tennessee as a school bus inspector until retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Maxedon; sons, Brandon Maxedon, Brett Maxedon, Byron Maxedon; stepdaughter, Leigh Ann Cary; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; one niece; and eight nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Burtron A. Maxedon and Lillian Maxedon; brothers, Reeder, P. J. and Bert Maxedon; and sister, Varina Newcomb.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, Dec. 1, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Rev. David Price and Mitch Bolton officiating. Burial followed in Concord Cemetery at Decatur County, Tennessee.
