Doris Richter (9-18-13) service 9-21-13

Doris Richter, 82, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, Sept. 18, in Savannah. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Charles Wright and Blanche Hope Paulk Shaw.

Mrs. Richter was a retired social worker for the Department of Human Services. She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah.

Services were held on Saturday, Sept. 21, at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah with Helen Hamilton and Joyce Heffernan officiating. Burial followed in the Savannah Cemetery at Savannah.

She is survived by her children, Lee Ann Williams of Savannah and Steve Richter of Chattanooga, Tenn., and three grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Shaw, Jr., David Shaw, and Larry Shaw, and three sisters, Sue Covey, Clarice Fowler and Martha Guinn.
