Dorthea Reynolds Stricklin, 98, of Savannah, died on Saturday, Dec. 1, in Savannah.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late John Harrison and Nancy Elizabeth Shelby Reynolds. She was united in marriage to James Riley Stricklin who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Stricklin was a homemaker. She was a member of Robertson Chapel United Methodist Church since 1939 and was a Sunday school teacher.  She was also a member of Savannah Home Demonstration Club.

She is survived by her children, Don R. Stricklin of Savannah, James (Mac) Stricklin of Savannah, Mary Elaine Raines of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Dona Annette Williams of Paducah, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; brother, Robert Reynolds of San Diego, California; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, John Kimberly Stricklin and William Ray Stricklin; one brother, William Vernon Reynolds; and two sisters, Mary Dona Watson and Grace Miller.

Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 1 p.m., at Robertson Chapel United Methodist Church in Savannah with Jason Estes officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
