Duke Wilkerson (6-3-11) services 6-7-11

Gary Wayne "Duke" Wilkerson was born in Hardin County, on July 10, 1950, the son of the late Con and Edna Wilkerson.

Mr. Wilkerson was a self-employed carpenter. He liked to hunt and play golf.

Mr. Wilkerson departed this life on Friday, June 3, at the age of 60 years, 10 months, 24 days.

He is survived by a daughter, Crystal Barber and husband Bradley of Decaturville, Tenn.; siblings, Connie Cole and James Wilkerson, both of Savannah, Artie Gaia of Southaven, Miss., John Wilkerson of Adamsville, Danny Joe Wilkerson of Savannah and Wanda Hicks of Stantonville, Tenn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley Raines, R.C. Wilkerson, Yvonne Wilkerson and Geraldine Wilkerson.

Services were held on Tuesday, June 7, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Clark Culver officiating. Burial followed in the Sunny Hill Cemetery at Hardin County.
