Edith Walker (5-4-14) service 5-7-14

Edith Estelle Walker, 85, of Clifton, died Sunday, May 4, at Decatur County General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Harley and Cora Delia Umphrey English.

She is survived by two sons, Keith Walker of Decaturville and Larry Owens of Cantor, Ill.; a brother, L.H. English of Savannah; three sisters, Frankie Harrison and Katie Hosea both of Savannah and Rachel Wyatt of Scotts Hill; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Walker Jr.; a daughter, Wanda Majors, a sister, Nell Polk and three brothers, Orlando, Oty and Doty English.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 7 in Linden with Bobby McCord and Johnny Burns officiating. Interment followed at the Walker Family Cemetery.
