Etta Hosea

Etta Hosea, 86, of Savannah, died Thursday, April 14.

She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Johnny Banister and Mary Etta Baxter Tidwell. She was united in marriage to Walton Curtis Hosea, who survives.

Mrs. Hosea was an assembly line worker at Parris Manufacturing Company and a member of the Campground United Methodist Church.

Services were held on Saturday, April 16, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Ron Jones officiating. Burial was in the Campground Cemetery at Hardin County.

In addition to her husband, Walton, she is survived by a son, Donny Hosea of Savannah; a daughter, Sharon Daniel of Savannah, Tennessee; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Agnes Hopper of Pampa, Texas, Gladys Hosea and Thelma Jerrolds both of Savannah; two brothers, JR of Savannah and Charles Tidwell of Durham, N.C.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Beckham; two brothers, Murray Tidwell and Tommy Tidwell.
