Etta Rainey Wray, 80, of Savannah, died Sunday, Jan. 6.

She was born in Mill Creek, Mo., the daughter of the late Cecil and Anna Rainey. She was united in marriage to Emmett Wray.

Etta, better known as Nanny Wray, was a cosmetologist for 30 years. She was a member of the East End United Methodist Church.

Services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Mary Foote and Walter Downs officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane Wray Fariss of Savannah; a son, Larry Wray of Olive Branch, Miss.; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, Baylor Rasbach, Conner Wray, Farris Rasbach, Hudson Wray, Baker Rasbach, and a step-great-grandchild.

She preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Wray; one granddaughter; sisters, Geraldine Evans and Lillian Johnson; brother, Wayne Rainey.
