Frankie Counce was born in Hardin County, on June 23, 1929, the daughter of the late Howard and Mamie Viola Austin Tidwell. On March 7, 1952, she was united in marriage to Joe Edward Counce, who survives.

Mrs. Counce worked for 30 years at Brown Shoe Company. She was a member of Plummers Chapel Church. She enjoyed flowers, doing yard work and talking to others.

In addition to her husband of 61 years, Joe, she is survived by her daughters, Sherry Briley, Rebecca Adams and her husband Terry all of Savannah, and Barbara Britt and her husband Tim of Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren, Jason Durham, Teneille Dickey, Nicky Robinson, Krista Adams, Josh Britt and Samantha Briley; eight great-grandchildren, Paidon Melin, Blaine Durham, Reyna Dickey, Caleb Robinson, Gavin Dickey, Keaton Durham, Isabella Briley and Carson Neill; and a sister, Lueille Pickens of Savannah.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Christopher Robinson

Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 4, in Savannah with Larry Vandiver officiating. Burial followed at Crump Cemetery in Crump.
