Faye Spears (9-29-13) service 10-2-13

Faye Spears departed this life on Sunday, Sept. 29, at the age of 79 years, 5 months, 5 days. She was born in Union City, Tenn. on April 24, 1934, the daughter of the late James Crowell and Lula Mae Irvine Harris. On November 6, 1954, she was united in marriage to W.E.Spears, who survives.

Faye was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ. She retired from Brown Shoe Company, she had worked in production, shipping and payroll.

Faye is survived by her husband of 58 years, W.E. Spears of Savannah; daughter, Janie Spears Blount and husband Freddy of Savannah; son, Gary Spears and wife Vicki of Savannah; grandchildren, Bradley Spears and wife Anna, Jeremy Blount and wife Kelly of Nashville, Matthew Blount and wife Rebecca of Chapel Hill, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Keegan Blount.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Wilma Kelley.

Services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jim Chamblee and Westley Hazel officiating. Burial followed at the Savannah Cemetery in Savannah. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Hunting for a Cure, P. O. Box 44, Savannah, TN 38372
