Floyd Hudson (8-15-11) services 8-17-11

Floyd "Preacher" Hudson, 81, of Savannah, died Monday, Aug. 15, at his residence in Savannah.

He was born in Savannah, the son of the late Ras Walston and Delia Gray Hudson. He was united in marriage to Jenny Hudson, who preceded him in death

Mr. Hudson retired after 35 years from Crounse Corporation as a river boat captain. He was a member of the National Guard and was a Mason.

Services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Dennis Moffett, Duwayne Pounds officiating. Burial followed in the Neill Cemetery at Savannah.

Mr. Hudson is survived by two daughters, Pam Austin of Michie and Kim Scott of Saltillo; and one son, Steve Hudson of Savannah; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister, O’Nita Rich of Savannah; and one brother, Wilbern Hudson of Savannah.
