Floyd “Pod” Stricklin, 85, of Savannah, died on Monday, April 12, in Savannah.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Simon and Linnie Wilkerson Stricklin.

Mr. Stricklin was a retired self-employed logger.

He is survived by former spouse, Jeroline “Judy” Stricklin; sons, Teddy “Buddy” Stricklin and Bob Stricklin, both of Savannah; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Reece Stricklin of Savannah; and sister, Mary Stanford of Sardis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joe Stricklin; two daughters, Joy Crotts and Diane Franks; sister, Margaret Stanfill; and two brothers, Odell and Jay Stricklin.

Services were held on Thursday, April 15, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Charles Pevahouse officiating. Burial followed in Smith Cemetery at Savannah.
