Floyd Talley

Floyd Talley was born in Hardin County, on Jan. 14, 1930, the son of the late Lark and Lola Arnett Talley.

On July 25, 1953, he was united in marriage to Lucille Lockard, who survives.

Mr. Talley was the owner of Quality Shoeland. He attended Northside Baptist Church. Mr. Talley enjoyed gardening, fishing and doing livestock farming and he loved his grandchildren. He lived in Hardin County all of his life.

Mr. Talley departed this life on Thursday, Dec. 2, at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 18 days.

In addition to his wife, Lucille of Adamsville, he is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Talley Ray of Bath Springs, Tenn. and Karen Talley Rose and her husband Keith of Bethel Springs, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Bradley Ray, Colton Ray, Adam Ray, Andrea Fowler, Jeremy Pettigrew and Mararah Pettigrew; two great-grandchildren, Carson Tyler Ray and Dylan McGovrn; one sister, Nancy Clark of Savannah; and one brother, Charles Talley of Lexington, Tenn.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Talley was also preceded in death by one very special son-in-law, David Ray; and one brother, Max Talley.

Services were held on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jason Martindale, Lynn Johnson, Rannie Moore, Dave Boroughs officiating. Burial was in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
