Frances Davis Frances Pitts Davis, 95, of Saltillo, died Friday, Jan. 27. She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Barney and Allie Holland Pitts. She was united in marriage to H.L. Davis, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Davis taught for the Hardin County School System in Saltillo. She had also owned and operated Davis Trading Post. A graveside service was held on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Memory Gardens in Savannah with Billy Allegood officiating. She is survived by three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Davis Forrest; and brothers, Hardy and W.B. Pitts.
