Frances Parks (4-23-11) services 4-29-11

Frances Bowen Parks, 84, formerly of Savannah, died Saturday, April 23.

She was born in Sassafras Hollow, Ky., the daughter of the late Delsie and Arminta Madden Bowen. She was united in marriage to Clifford Parks, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Parks was a homemaker and a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah.

A graveside service was held on April 29, at the Memory Gardens in Savannah with Allen Guyer officiating.

She is survived by a daughter, Denice Phillips of Savannah; two sons, Lee Parks of Powell, Tenn. and Stan Parks of Dickson, Tenn.; two sisters, Peggy Fannin and Dean Seals, both of Kentucky; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Joseph Parks; three sisters, Irene Cornnet, Inez Terry and Pat Montgomery.
