Frances Sharpe

Frances Haggard Sharpe, 85, of Savannah, died Wednesday, May 22, in Memphis.

She was born in Crump, the daughter of the late Johnny William and Mary Bell Haggard. She was united in marriage to Vernon Sharpe, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Sharpe retired from Tennessee River Pulp and Paper Company where she worked as payroll supervisor. She was a member of East End United Methodist Church.

Services were held on Sunday, May 26, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Dewey Smith, Mary Foote officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.

Mrs. Sharpe is survived by her daughter, Stacy Sharpe Smith of West Memphis, Ark.; and two grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Edith Stricklin; and three brothers, Jimmy, Milburn and Bobby Haggard.
