Freddie Lee Wardlow, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Memphis, was born in Madison County, Tennessee on March 23, 1947, the son of the late Fred E. and Marie Pugh Wardlow.
Mr. Wardlow was a resident of San Antonio, Texas for 18 years, Memphis for 46 years, and Morris Chapel.  He enjoyed race car driving, drag racing, NASCAR and INDY - racing, which was his passion. Mr. Wardlow also enjoyed the outdoors and loved any type of gardening. 
He departed this life on Saturday, May 28, in Texas at the age of 69 years, 2 months and 5 days.
Mr. Wardlow is survived by one daughter, Tiffany M. Wardlow Bonilla of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren, Tomas R. Bonilla Jr., Savauaughna C. Bonilla, Angelica L. Bonilla, Grace Bonilla and Johnmarco Garcia; one sister, Rebecca W. Horn of Hendersonville, Tennessee; a special first cousin, Patricia Butler of Cookeville, Tennessee; and a niece, Lisa R. Wolfe of Hendersonville, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Arbie and W.T. Bowen.

Services were held on Sunday, June 5, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Lloyd Blankenship officiating. Burial followed in Morris Chapel Cemetery at Morris Chapel.
