Geneva Maness (9-2-10) services 9-5-10

Geneva Harwell Maness, 81, of Milledgeville, died Thursday, Sept. 2.

She was born in Chester County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Arlie L. and Vora Bridges Harwell. She was united in marriage to Bonnie A. Maness, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Maness was a retired sewing machine operator for Brown Shoe Company. She was a member of the Hurricane Primitive Baptist Church.

Services were held on Sunday, Sept. 5, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Cecil Woodruff officiating. Burial was in the Milledgeville Cemetery at Milledgeville.

She is survived by two sons, Neal Maness of Lexington, Tenn., Sammie Maness of Adamsville; a sister, Kathryn Edwards of Reagan, Tenn.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Max L. Harwell.
