Glen Cox

Glen Cox, 65, of Lutts, Tenn., died Wednesday, July 4.

He was born in Savannah, the son of the late Ben Noah and Ella Augusta Franklin Cox. He was united in marriage to Susie Mae Kelley, who survives.

Mr. Cox worked for Rudy Farms, Jittney Jungle, Murray bicycle plant, Cox BBQ in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., cut timber, truck driver and Rogers Group Rock Crusher. He was a member of the Second Creek Church of Christ.

Services were held on Friday, July 6, at Second Creek Church Of Christ in Savannah with David Highland and Jim Martin officiating. Burial followed in the Centenary Cemetery in Lutts, Tenn.

In addition to his wife Susie Cox, he is survived by one son, Shannon Cox of Lutts; two daughters, Kathy and Jeanna Murphy, both of Savannah; one brother, James O. Cox of Florence, Ala.; three sisters, Maggie Nichols and Laverne Johnson, both of Elkhart, Ind., Shelia Cox of Savannah; six grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, James Lewis and Ella Newton Cox; Oscar and Alma Ford Franklin; one brother, Charles Cox; and one sister, Lessie Highland.
