Glenn Clausel

Glenn Clausel, 84, of Houston, Texas, died Thursday, Oct. 28, in Savannah.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Charlie Washington and Annie Mae Duckworth Clausel. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Lee Wilson, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Clausel was the owner of Great American Roofing, Inc. and Sheet Metal of Texas, Inc. He was credited for designing the Great American Shake Roofing System. Mr Clausel was a liftime committee member of the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Show, a member of the NRA, the National Republican Organization, the Founders of the Hobby Exchange Club in Houston, Texas, and the Tennessee Squire.

Services were held on Monday, Nov. 1, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with J.P. Gillis officiating. Burial was in the Piney Grove Cemetery at Hardin County.

He is survived by two sisters, Jo Kate Crafton of Charlotte, N.C. and Martha Freese of Savannah; and a brother, Vernon Clausel of Pasadena, Texas.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Clausel; and three brothers, Swan, Clinton and Archie Clausel.
