Greta Shutt

Greta Frances Shutt was born in Hardin County, on Aug. 21, 1941, the daughter of the late W.E. and Hadie Reed Shutt, and died Thursday, June 28, at the age of 70 years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Savannah. She was a very artistic person and was honored for creating her Staffordshire bone china gift items. She had worked as a mortgage broker. She loved the 1950s era and its music, and loved her friends and family.

She is survived by one daughter, Lisa R. Griffith of Pickwick Dam, one son, Tony N. Dickson Jr. of Savannah, and two grandchildren, Trae and A.J.; also a very special cousin, Doris Ray of Savannah, and many relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Shutt, her grandparents, Ed and Cecily Shutt, and John Thomas Ella Harville Reed, her first husband, Dave Griffith and second husband, Tony N. Dickson.

Services were held on Saturday, June 30, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Ron Brown officiating. Her body was cremated.
