Hazel Minton

Hazel Minton, of Adamsville, was born in Bolivar, Tenn., on Feb. 21, 1921, the daughter of the late Thomas Earl and Ruby Olga Lightfoot Doyle.

On March 7, 1943, she was united in marriage to Allen B. Minton, who preceded her in death on June 10, 1988.

Mrs. Minton was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah. She had traveled extensively, living in many places: Hanover, Ill.; Southport, N.C.; Mobile, Ala.; Baytown, Texas; Yokohama, Japan; Caerwent, South Wales.

Mrs. Minton departed this life on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the age of 89 years, 8 months, 20 days.

Mrs. Minton is survived by two daughters, Ruby Katherine Schaible of Adamsville and Anita Carolyn Hyde of Dunedin, Fla.; two sons-in-law, Robert John Schaible and Larry Richard Hyde; four grandchildren, Eric Hyde, Daryl Hyde, Todd Schaible and Ryan Schaible; nine great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Schaible, Logan Schaible, Colton Schaible, Tyler Schaible, Jordan Kay Schaible, David Hyde, Daniel Hyde, Sarah Hyde and Elizabeth Hyde.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Minton was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Doyle; and a sister, Earline Denton.

Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 13, at 10 a.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Adamsville with Herb Adams officiating. Burial was in the North Union Cemetery at Yorkville, Tenn.
