Ira Lofton Delaney, 94, of Sardis, died on Sunday, Dec. 5.
He was born in Saltillo to Charlie Allen Delaney and Jocie Lee Pearson Delaney. He was united in marriage to Martha Jo Kelley, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Delaney was a skilled craftsman, farmer and timberman.
He is survived by children, Danny Kelley, Ricky and Gary Delaney; two grandsons; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild, Maddox; and a brother, Edward.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Ray.
Service was Friday, Dec. 10, at Hurricane Primitive Baptist Church, Sardis. A graveside service followed at Shady Grove Cemetery in Saltillo.
