Jackie Burnett, 73, died on Saturday, June 8, at the Hardin County Medical Center in Savannah.

She was born in Sherwood, Tenn. on May 9, 1940 the daughter of the late William Bryant and Christine Jordan Prince. She was united in marriage to Wayne Burnett who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Burnett was an artist, loved to draw and paint, enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, crocheting and sewing. For several years, she sold Park Lane jewelry and Mary Kay cosmetics. She had a booth at the fair that showcased the Products of Tennessee.She was a member of the Hardin County Fair board, the Savannah Art Guild and was an avid collector of M&M memorabilia. She managed the snack bar at Pickwick Landing State Park Golf Course.

Survivors include one son, David Buchanan of Corinth, Miss.; one brother, Walter Prince and wife June of East Ridge, Tenn.; five sisters, Marion Telford of Nashville, Avanelle Strange and husband David of Hixon, Tenn., Olivia Smith of Winchester, Tenn., Phyllis Cook of Cowan, Tenn. and Judi Funderberg of Hawaii; one grandson, Fane Hewgley; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by one son, Howard Hewgley; five brothers, Tony, Harold, Gerald, James and Donald Prince.

Services were held on Tuesday, June, 11 at McPeters Funeral Home Chapel with Warren Jones officiating. Burial followed at Rienzi Cemetery in Rienzi, Miss.
