James David Woods (3-5-11) services 3-8-11

James David Woods, 68, of Counce, died Saturday, March 5.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late William Mancil and Louise Wood. He was united in marriage to Nancy Janette Lackey, who survives.

Mr. Woods worked for SunTrust Bank for 38 years; he was the branch manager and assistant vice president. He was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church where he served as an ordained deacon for 33 years.

Services were held on Tuesday, March 8, at Center Hill Baptist Church in Counce with Keith Driskell, Dr. Chester Wayne Harrison officiating. Burial was in the Center Hill Cemetery at Counce.

In addition to his wife, Nancy, he is survived by a daughter, Miranda LaDawn Woods Parson of Counce; two grandchildren; a sister, Mary Irene Wood Carroll of Counce; three brothers, Bobby Gene Wood, Charles Ray Wood, and Kenneth Roger Wood all of Counce.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, William M. Wood Jr., Leroy Wood and Donald Mark Wood.
