James Dixon III James Dixon III, 60, of Savannah, died Saturday, March 26, at Baptist Memorial East in Memphis. He was born in Savannah, son of the late James Howard and Mary Frances Dixon Sr. Mr. Dixon was an employee at TSU as an agriculture farmer and janitor for 20 plus years. Services were held on Thursday, March 31, at St. John’s Missionary Baptist in Savannah with Sam Reeves officiating. Burial was in the Savannah Cemetery. He is survived by four daughters, Yolanda Porter from New York; Jessica Shelton of Bethel Springs; Sgt. Quailla Abraham from New York; Nakiska Dixon of Nashville; one sister, Janice Bumpous of Savannah; one brother, Anthony Dixon of Savannah; a host of grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Pamela Dixon.
