James E. Franks (2-3-18) service 2-8-18

James E. Franks, 85, of Lakeland, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 3, 2018.

He was born April 4, 1932. He was married to Clynese Massey Franks for 56 years, before her passing in 2015.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister.

He leaves three children, Karen (Donnie) Dykes, David (Allison) Franks and Mark (Pam) Franks; six granddaughters; four great-grandchildren, one on the way; and many nephews, nieces and friends.

He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Arlington, Tennessee, where he served as a deacon in previous years. He was a former member at Ardmore Baptist and Speedway Terrace.

James was a master barber for 62 years. He was a previous owner/operator of Mid City Barber Shop in Memphis.

Services were conducted at Forest Hill East on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, send memorials to Crossroads Baptist Church, 6601 Austin Peay Hwy., Arlington, Tenn. 38002.
