James Keeton (1-28-18) service 1-31-18

James R. Keeton, 78, of Parsons, died on Sunday, Jan. 28, at Decatur County Health and Rehab Center in Parsons.
Mr. Keeton was a retired towboat pilot.
He is survived by a daughter, Kristen Keeton of Savannah; two sisters, Bobbye Johnson of Parsons and Sue Bibbs of Perryville; a brother, Jimmy H. Keeton of Decaturville; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his father, Barney Elmer Keeton; mother and stepfather, Dovie and Dave Stafford; an infant daughter, Nancy Charlene Keeton; a son, Kevin Keeton; and infant granddaughter; and a sister, Virginia Eakin.
His family has chosen cremation. Memorial service was held at Reed’s Chapel in Decaturville on Wednesday, Jan. 31. Burial will follow at a later time in Perryville Cemetery.
