James Mark Counce (1-14-11) services 1-21-11

James "Mark" Counce, 69, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., died Friday, Jan. 14, at the York Campus of the VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro.

He was born in Savannah, son of Mildred Walker Counce and the late J.E. Counce. He was united in marriage to Bettye Harrison Counce, who survives.

Mr. Counce served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a retired dispatcher with Sharp Transport. He owned a printing business and sold real estate, and during his earlier years had worked for Tennessee River Pulp and Paper Company.

Services were held on Friday, Jan. 21, at Coleman Memorial United Methodist Church. Burial was in Lawrence County Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Coleman Memorial United Methodist Church.
