James Hundley Rich, 90, of Savannah, died on Thursday, Jan. 16, in Savannah.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Tom Frank and Emma Stricklin Rich. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Mary Garrard, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Rich lived all his life on Old Town Loop in Hardin County. He farmed all his life, but he also had worked at Rhodes Candy Company, Parris Manufacturing, Rich’s Market and Antique dealing. He was of Baptist faith.

He is survived by his children, James Rayburn Rich of Savannah and Marilyn Rich Putman of Waterloo, Alabama; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester Rich and T.F. Rich Jr.

Services were held on Sunday, Jan. 19, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Greg Eaton and Patrick Godwin officiating. Burial followed in Mount Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
