Jamie “Curtis” Baker, 59, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

He was the son of the late Luther Columbus and Winnie Jewel Baker. He was united in marriage to Mitzi Chilcote Baker, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Baker honorably served his country in the United States Marines. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Savannah.

He is survived by his daughters, Cheyenne L. Meneely and Krystal-Gayle H. Miller; stepson, Steven L. Martens; sisters, RuthAnn McCain, Laura Lee Ramey and Cricket Baker; brother, James Allen “Booger” Baker; two grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Sarah.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie “Grave Digger” Baker.

Memorial services were held on Sunday, March 10, at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Savannah with Daniel Holt officiating. Burial followed in Shiloh National Park Cemetery at Shiloh.
